am i crying over something stupid?

i worked at a hair salon earlier this year and the manager just kept messing me about. and then said he was going to look for someone else who isnt at college (as i was at the time) and now i had an interview at a hair salon in london wich is 1 hour and a half away from me. he kept asking me to come in, first for an interview, and then for a job trial and then to cut and colour hair. and now he is telling me he has found a stylist with 10 years experience and as i only have 2 he is going to take on him. im so upset. i feel like im failing as a hairdresser. is it stupid to cry over this? has this happend to anyone else?

terrible haircut!! Question about wigs?

right so, iv had a terrible haircut, and its way too short and looks evil. Anyway, that doesnt matter now – iv come to terms with it sortof…hair grows back!

Untill then, iv found an wig i used to use for musical theatre shows, and it looks pretty real, so its good for now.

So first question – does wearing a wig everyday kindof, stump your hair? Like make it grow slower or anything? Because i want it to grow back asap!

Seconds, I heard that House of Fraser in Oxford Street, London, has a wig section – i want to get a wig thats more in my style, seeing as the one iv got at the moment isnt really me. Does anyone know how much they cost there? Anything would be of help, other places that sell wigs even.

Thankyou so much – i was really depressed all of yesterday after the hideous event took place – the hairdresser completley went scissor happy and ignored what i said :(

Do you like this CHARACTER?

It’s for a story. Jaime Lydia Kotak is a 23 year old very beautiful girl from London. She’s the only child from Caroline, a scottish banker, and Dharma, an Indian shopkeeper. This heritage gave Jaime an exotic look: She has a very pretty face with two shining green eyes, her black hair is very long, she’s tall, slender and has an amazing body.
Jaime is also a young mother of two boys, Isaac and Blake. Her little son was born at home with a midwife in a birth that for her is unforgettable. Her first son Isaac was also present at the homebirth. Isaac enjoys very much her brother’s homebirth: he laughed loudly when his mother Jaime was screaming and moaning because of the painful contractions, he followed Jaime when she was walking all naked through her home while she was in labor and Isaac touched with the help of the midwife his brother’s head when he was coming out Jaime’s vagina.
Jaime wanted her first son Isaac to be at the homebirth because she wanted to create a deep link between the 2 brothers. She also wanted to have a homebirth because she wanted to be relaxed while she was giving birth and supported by her family. She wasn’t afraid of pain, she was able to give birth without drugs and did what many millions of women do centuries ago.
Blake, Jaime’s homebirth son, has the name Suresh as a middle name. Jaime put her little son that name because is the name of her husband and also because Suresh means for Indian “Sun” and the sun is the center of life.
Jaime is a hairdresser and love her work very much. She had also done some amateur modelling work but quit when she had her first son. In the future besides of raising her sons, Jaime wants to become a midwife and dreams to attend the delivery of her grandchildren by her own.

British woman facing ruin over headscarf row – what do YOU think about this?

A British hairdresser is facing ruin after rejecting a job applicant; the applicant was a young Muslim woman who refused to remove her headscarf.

Hair salon owner Sarah Desrosiers says: ‘It is an absolutely basic job requirement that stylists should have their hair on show if they are to cut other people’s.’

But Bushra Noah, the job applicant, argues the headscarf is: ‘… essential to my religion and is non negotiable.’

Ms Noah does admit that she has been turned down by other salons since her interview with Sarah Desrosiers in March of last year.

Ms Noah is now claiming £34,000 in compensation for ‘injury to her feelings and lost earnings.’

Sarah Desrosiers: ‘This girl is suing me for more than I earn in a year. I am prepared to stand up in court but if I lose this lawsuit, my whole business will fold.’

Should she receive compensation? Your views?
